RAZ Mobility Updates the RAZ Memory Cell Phone – Important Enhancements

CABIN JOHN, MD (April 17, 2024) – RAZ Mobility (www.razmobility.com), a provider of mobile assistive technology, released an update to the award-winning RAZ Memory Cell Phone that improves the device for both seniors and caregivers.

The RAZ Memory Cell Phone is designed to help individuals with dementia, mild cognitive impairment, vision loss, hand tremors, and seniors who require a simple experience, stay connected with family and friends.  The phone provides a simple experience for seniors, and allows caregivers to control the phone from anywhere in the U.S. or Canada through our remote manage feature and RAZ Care app.

Additional Capabilities

The update includes these new features:

  • Option for the month and date to appear in the status bar.
  • Option for a voicemail button to appear that provides the senior with easy access to voicemail messages.
  • A new keypad design.
  • An option for an in-call keypad to appear automatically when the senior dials a toll-free number.
  • The caregiver can see in the RAZ Care app whether the senior is available for a video call.
  • The caregiver can see in the RAZ Care app whether the phone is powered on or off.

Consistent with our overall philosophy, all new features offered to the senior are optional.

In addition to the software updates, there are a number of hardware improvements.  The battery is larger (5,000 mAh), and lasts at least 35% longer than the prior device’s battery.  And the camera provides a much better experience for video calls.
