ACCESSIBILITY
MiniVision2+ is 100 percent accessible to individuals who are blind. Its features make it the perfect phone for individuals who are visually impaired, blind, hard of hearing or seniors.
VOICE GUIDE
Speech interface guides the user while using the phone. It speaks everything that is on the screen, speaks the keys that are pressed and even prompts the user to perform certain functions. Caller ID, amount of remaining battery power, date, contacts, list of missed calls and text messages are read out loud by MiniVision2+.
VOICE COMMANDS
Place calls and send text messages by voice. Also, the user can enter contacts, create alarms, voice memos, notes and events entirely, or partially, by voice. Many applications can be opened by voice.
CONTACTS
MiniVision2+ allows users who are blind to enter their own contacts (by voice and keypad) and move through the contact list to hear the contact names read out loud.
MESSAGES
Send Text messages by voice or with the assistance of the talking keypad. Received text messages will be read out loud.
STATUS
Battery power level, time, date and missed calls and messages are read out loud.
DISPLAY
Users can increase the font size and choose between several predefined display color schemes such as white on black or black on white.
SOS BUTTON
The phone has a dedicated SOS button on its back to call emergency contacts.

Minivision 2 is a great product. It has given Mom new piece of mind now that she can contact anyone she needs to just buy speaking their name. Voice recognition is spot on. Phone was everything it claims to be and a real blessing to Mom. The 3 free months of service is great too.

The phone works well enough and the features are very basic but work well. I am the sighted helper to the user. The issue is that the direction manual is both hard to follow and confusing. We find some directions that do not work, directions that are not listed in the section on the table of contents and directions that are completely missing. This user manual should be very detailed and it is not. The slippy rubber case is nice but must be removed to use charging cradle- this should not be required. No other phone case requires removal to charge. There are no other cases on the secondary market. The only feature we cannot find is to have a “Do Not Disturb” that can be scheduled like most every other phone. The greatest benefit is that we can use this on the ATT network which was not an option for the last 3 phones we tried for someone who is newly blind.

I really like my Mini Vision. One problem I am having is trying to send a text. The instructions are certainly not very clear. I will get it sooner or later. I just wish the instructions were better. I’m 88 yrs old and I need things really spelled out for me.

I really love my MiniVision2! I wanted a basic phone with keypad to keep in touch with family and friends and to take care of simple banking details. I find the apps intuitive and simple to use. Taking time to read the manual or listen to the online tutorials will speed up getting acquainted with the phone and the various functions. I had to purchase another MiniVision2 for my wife as she would not let my phone go! Although this is not a smart phone, it meets all my needs–I recommend the MiniVision2, highly!
