ACCESSIBILITY
MiniVision2+ is 100 percent accessible to individuals who are blind. Its features make it the perfect phone for individuals who are visually impaired, blind, hard of hearing or seniors.
VOICE GUIDE
Speech interface guides the user while using the phone. It speaks everything that is on the screen, speaks the keys that are pressed and even prompts the user to perform certain functions. Caller ID, amount of remaining battery power, date, contacts, list of missed calls and text messages are read out loud by MiniVision2+.
VOICE COMMANDS
Place calls and send text messages by voice. Also, the user can enter contacts, create alarms, voice memos, notes and events entirely, or partially, by voice. Many applications can be opened by voice.
CONTACTS
MiniVision2+ allows users who are blind to enter their own contacts (by voice and keypad) and move through the contact list to hear the contact names read out loud.
MESSAGES
Send Text messages by voice or with the assistance of the talking keypad. Received text messages will be read out loud.
STATUS
Battery power level, time, date and missed calls and messages are read out loud.
DISPLAY
Users can increase the font size and choose between several predefined display color schemes such as white on black or black on white.
SOS BUTTON
The phone has a dedicated SOS button on its back to call emergency contacts.

The changes made on this cell phone are a great improvement. However, the one problem with this phone is the call waiting feature doesn’t work. When I am speaking to someone on the line, the phone suddenly rings in my ear. The person I’m talking to disappears (put on hold) and I have to answer the other call to make it stop ringing. This is not how call waiting is supposed to work. They are working on fixing this issue with the maker of the cell phone. The only thing to fix this issue for now is to turn off call waiting, which makes it inconvenient. The purpose of call waiting is to ensure I don’t miss any important calls I may be expecting. This is why I’m giving this phone 3 stars. Otherwise, this phone is very accessible with many great features and I would give it 5 stars instead. I wish this cell phone would come in other colors, not just white.

I purchase 2 of the mini vision 2 cell phones, found them on google under 5 best senior friendly large button phones, they arrived quickly and are exactly as pictured. They are a bit pricey, but made to last unlike any other cell phone I have ever purchased. In comparison to the other 4 phones on google, some did not have the talk back, only read numbers as you typed them or one had a service provider I did not want to use. I’m a senior, in 70’s, enjoy being independent, with half blindness – the macular degeneration and these phones are the first ever I can fully use with no frustration. The video on this site is helpful along with a youtube from the Blind life, mini vision 2 as Sam who has Stargardts eye disease, gives a very comprehensive overview of the phone. Sam, a favorite, performs all functions and shows the right way, then the wrong way to use voice command. No, you can not order an uber but there is a company in business for 7 years called ‘GoGo Grandparents’, geared for all who do not have a smart phone, who will call you a ride from a pool from uber and Lyft and I never wait more than 5 minutes after making the very quick call to them. The basic plan to use this service is under $10 month, many plans, options are offered. The fm tuner on this phone is amazingly clear but can only be used wearing a headphone as that connection is the antenna. Also, the headphones keep others from hearing what you are doing. I chose to have T Mobil activate the phones after I charged the batteries. Note, when you transfer your phone number from another company, you have to have your account number and know your pin. As T Mobil activated the phone, I was able to remain independent did not need any assistance in getting to know the phones,. I love the phones, thank you! Linda

I bought this for my 94 yr old dad. He has always had a landline. I has a hard time working it, but I think it’s because he is not use to cell phones. It’s a good product, but only for someone who has worked a cell phone.

Purchased this phone for my husband who is 75 and lost vision due to glaucoma.
Setting up was a bit tricky as I am not tech savvy and tutorials are all voice only. But support has been great.
My husband is happy he can now text snd call friends and family and add contacts.
Now we are working on voice mail and other features. Hus only negative was also the down key hitting the other keys.
He misses email but is happy to communicate again.

Unfortunately my mother is unable to learn this phone. She kept turning it off. For a senior who is legally blind there are just a few too many steps for her. I was hoping this would be the phone.
The folks at Razmobility worked with me after the first phone was sent not unlocked (after a bit of talking with them). Finally they agreed to send a new phone ASAP after much discussion.
Once the phone arrived it worked right away. My mom just could not learn it and we even worked on it everyday for quite a bit of time. There are just a too many steps for a visually impaired senior. Darn it, I really liked the phone. It was small, lightweight, and as sighted individual I learned it right away.
Someone from customer service called and checked on how things were going and I explained I would have to return the phoneh. They explained the process. I did get a call while it was I tea sit to ensure I had sent it.
Once received, I was credited a return minus the $75 restocking fee.
My 5 stars is due to the many calls, texts and emails to check up with how things were going.

The phone works great, but my husband keeps dropping it and the whole thing comes apart and he can’t get it back together becasue he is BLIND!. Would be nice if there was a case to fit over it. DUH!
