The Texas Specialized Telecommunications Assistance Program (STAP) helps people who have a disability that interferes with their access to telecommunications service purchase basic specialized assistive equipment or services.
To apply for a STAP voucher to receive the Moto E4 Plus smartphone or Samsung Galaxy Tab 9.7 tablet for free, follow the instructions and fill out the applications provided here. Select “Two-way Texting Device” in the Select Device section on page 2 of the application.
You will need to provide a professional certification of your disability. It can obtained from a physician or advanced practice registered nurse, an audiologist, authorized DHHS contractors or a TWC rehabilitation counselor.
