The stand would probably be better if it had raised sides, which would allow the phone to be correctly placed on the tiny lip at the bottom. So, lips on 3 sides rather than just the bottom. I don’t have dementia or low vision but I help someone who does and it’s hard for me to be sure I’ve placed the phone correctly to charge on the standing charger. The charging icon is yellow and doesn’t flash when charging, so the only way I know it’s charging is to watch if the percentage increases. Even harder for someone who has low vision.

Thank you for your feedback! In the RAZ Care app, you can enable the audio confirmation that the phone is charging. The phone will say “Phone charging” out loud once properly positioned on the Stand.
In the More screen of the app, you can also check whether the phone is being charged.

The lower ledge on this charger is too small for phones using the RAZ folding cover. It’s hard to get the phone placed correctly for charging. I do not recommend this charger for Memory phones with that case.

I bought this charger for my mom to go with her new RAZ memory phone in the orange case. It works well, and I like that it is upright because that’s similar to how she was placing her landline handset on its charger. Familiar is good. The only improvement I’d suggest is a deeper lip or more of an angle to rest the phone on. Sometimes I have to encourage the phone to sit against the charger enough to connect by pressing it back against the base of the lip or ledge of the charger.

The stand up charger works well, even when the phone is not set in exactly right. I like that my MIL can see the faces on her phone from her chair. The only problem so far is that she unplugs the charger from the wall and puts it in the drawer, sigh. Not the chargers fault, I know.

The lip on the charger is too small. The phone with the wireless adapter and a case on it is extremely unstable on the charger and it is very difficult for my mom to place the phone. Ended up swapping it with a flat charger and this one is unused. Seems like it would be obvious to need a more stable option for working with elderly.

On its own, the stand may work ok. With the rugged protective case installed it was hard for me to get the phone to balance and charge on it, much less my mom with Alzheimer’s. She wasn’t able to charge her phone until I just took the stand away and let her plug in the phone. If your person has never used a charging stand, I definitely wouldn’t recommend this one.

Works best when the phone is applied to the charger horizontally because we have a lanyard attached at the base. If I had to do it again, I would get the charging pad instead.
