RAZ Mobility is excited to announce that the Lucia cell phone for people who are blind or low vision is finally here! The primary objective of Lucia was simple: to allow individuals with vision loss to use a basic cell phone just as fully and effectively as individuals who are sighted. This mission was accomplished with great success! Lucia is also great for seniors, generally.
Lucia is a fully accessible mobile phone with unique features such as big buttons in different colors and shapes, a voice guide to inform the user of what is on the screen and what buttons have been pressed, ergonomic design and a SOS button. These features offer individuals with vision loss the ability to access every feature of the phone with unparalleled ease. Lucia is perfect for seniors, such as blind veterans, and others who want accessibility combined with simplicity. RAZ Mobility has partnered with the Swiss Lucia phone manufacturer to offer this exceptional solution in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
The phone’s voice guide is available in English, Spanish and more than ten other languages so that it can be enjoyed by English and non-English speakers alike. It also has a large, high-contrast display with enlarged text, as well as the option to amplify the audio with the press of a button.
The Lucia mobile phone is unlocked and confirmed to work on US carriers such as AT&T, T-Mobile, and compatible GSM networks. RAZ Mobility has partnered with the prepaid wireless provider Red Pocket to offer consumers unlimited talk and text for $19/month. A $10/month plan is also available for 500 minutes and 500 text messages.
Government departments, agencies and programs that wish to purchase Lucia should contact Robert Felgar at firstname.lastname@example.org or 703-517-9912. Consumers can purchase the accessible Lucia cell phone directly from RAZ Mobility.
